Privacy policy

Who we are

• The Profit Leak Finder is run by WedPro CEO Ltd (trading as WedPro Studio), founded by Katie Lyth. We are the data controller for the information you share with us through this tool.

What we collect

• Your first name and email address, when you sign up to use the tool.
• Your quiz answers and the results we calculate from them, such as your business type, booking numbers and estimated leak.
• Whether you chose to receive emails from us, and when.

Why we use it

• To show you your results and keep your progress if you come back. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in providing the tool you asked to use.
• To email you your results, only if you ticked the box to agree. Our lawful basis is your consent. The box is never ticked for you.
• To understand, in total, how wedding businesses are doing so we can improve our tools and content.

Who we share it with

• We use trusted providers to run this tool: secure cloud hosting and a database to store your answers, and Flodesk to send emails if you agreed to receive them. They only process your information on our instructions.
• We never sell your information.
• Some of these providers may store data outside the UK or EU. Where they do, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

• We keep your sign-up and results for up to 3 years from your last activity, or until you ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe from emails we stop emailing you straight away.

Your rights

• You can ask to see, correct, download or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before.
• Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or your local data protection authority.

Cookies and local storage

• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this tool. We save your progress in your own browser's local storage so a refresh does not lose your answers. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings.

Changes

• We may update this policy from time to time. The date below shows when it last changed.
